dressed in a strange manner, one day he arrived wearing
black velvet clothes.
One of the cultural heroes of Tilo Wolff
is Charles Chaplin, who had aptitudes to make laugh people
since his own bad luck.
Tilo Wolff studied the basic of Piano,
but it is told that he is a born musician.
Apart of musician, Anne Nurmi is photographer,
cook and fashion designer.
Tilo Wolff declared that Mexican fans are
the best of the world, when he performs in Mexico he immediately
feels a sentimental connection with his Mexican fans.
Tilo Wolff rejected to MTV the rights to
promote his videos.
Tilo Wolff likes Spanish language, as he
has demonstrated by including some phrases in Spanish in
some songs like: "Der Ketzer", "Mutatio Spiritus"
and "Durch nacht und flut". Besides, he sings
some phrases in Spanish during his concerts as in the song
"Ich verlasse heut dein herz".
Tilo Wolff created the Snakeskin project
as a little caprice he had repressed some time ago for the
electronic music, but he also knows this album was released
to show to his fans what would be Lacrimosa if he composed
commercial music, without feelings or sense in their lyrics;
as he declared the importance of Snakeskin is the music.
Tilo Wolff has declared that the song he
most dislikes is "Copycat", because it does not
have any relation with the musical line followed by Lacrimosa.
Tilo Wolff debuts as writer with a short
story of his own inspiration which will be released this
year in a compilation of stories.
Tilo Wolff inspiration comes from composers
like Mozart and Vivaldi, and also from bands like Bauhaus,
Joy Division and Hazel O'Connor.
When Anne Nurmi was a child, she studied
keyboard and sang in the church choirs.
Anne Nurmi designs and makes the clothes
wear by herself and Tilo for their concerts and photo sessions.
Tilo and Anne are married, have a daughter
and live in Switzerland.
Tilo's vision of the music world is: "I
don't see the music as a commercial object, and with my
own recording studio I had the freedom and space that I
desired for expressing me".
Tilo Wolff's dream is to write a book and
shoot a movie after the Lacrimosa's end.
Stelio Diamantopoulos (Lacrimosa's cover
arts creator) plays the bass on the "Angst" and
"Einsamkeit" albums.
Franz Kafka is Tilo's favorite author.
Jan Pierre Genkel plays the piano in "Schakal
(Piano Version)".
Sascha Gerbig's last concert with Lacrimosa
was on September 12th, 2005, in Monterrey, Mexico.
